HV Components Testing
Factory acceptance tests, site tests after installation and diagnostic tests on components in service, on every class of high-voltage component, according to IEC and IEEE standards. We check the set-up, witness the tests and compare every value with the guarantees.
Factory testing (FAT)
Routine, type and special tests in the manufacturer’s laboratory: dielectric tests, losses, temperature rise, short-circuit withstand, partial discharges. We check the test set-up and the calibration, witness the tests and sign the report only when every value is explained. Field testing
Commissioning and acceptance tests after installation: insulation, ratio, winding resistance, frequency response, partial discharges on GIS with the acoustic method, as done on a 400 kV GIS in Brazil after installation.
Diagnostic testing
Tests on equipment in service without dismantling it: oil sampling and dissolved-gas analysis, power factor, partial discharges, thermography, condition assessment of medium-voltage cables. The result is a condition verdict and a sampling or maintenance plan.
A test is only as good as its set-up and its report.
